Who can contribute?

Only individuals normally resident in Ontario may contribute. Corporate and union contributions are not permitted, and neither are loans.

The maximum contribution to a single mayoral candidate is $2,500. Across all candidates in this election, your contributions may not exceed $5,000 in total.

Contributor information is published by the City of Toronto where total contributions to a candidate exceed $100.

How does the rebate work?

Donate more than $25 and the City of Toronto refunds up to 75% of it after the election, to a maximum rebate of $1,000 per contributor. My campaign will issue you the official Rebate Receipt and Application Form you need to claim it. For this election, claims are due by December 30, 2027, and rebate cheques are issued in early 2028.

What happens with your information?

My campaign asks for your name, address, postal code and email for two reasons. Ontario election law requires me to keep a record of every contribution, and the City needs those details to process your rebate. Your email is where your Rebate Receipt and Application Form will be sent.

I'd also like to thank you. I or someone on my team may reach out personally to do that. If you'd rather we didn't, reply to any message and say so.

Your card details never reach this site. They go straight to Stripe, the payment processor, and I only see that a payment was made.

Your information is not sold, rented or shared with anyone outside the campaign, except the City of Toronto as election law requires. Contributions over $100 in total are published by the City with your name and amount. The rest stays with the campaign for as long as the law requires records to be kept, and is then securely destroyed.
